About Elvatanza

I've been making clothes since before I could buy them — starting with outfits for my dolls, then altering my mother's suits to make them my own. That instinct to take something and make it personal, to refuse to wear what everyone else is wearing, has driven everything I've done for over 20 years.

I'm a fashion designer, personal stylist, and educator, and my mission is simple: to empower women to present themselves as the unique, one-of-a-kind women they already are. I believe that everywhere you walk is your runway, and every day is a new chance to show the world the exclusive version of you.

I earned my degrees from the Fashion Institute of Technology — graduating with honors with both an Associate in Applied Science and a Bachelor of Fine Arts — and I've been recognized with the Ruth Scarf Design Critic's Award and the Adam and Sophie Gimbel Fashion Design Award. I also hold a Master of Arts in Teaching from Florida Institute of Technology, where I was inducted into the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. That teaching background isn't just a credential — it's why I love breaking down style in a way that makes women feel like they can actually do this.

I've taught sewing workshops and life skills classes everywhere from Tree of Life Ministries in Honduras to the Brevard County Public School system. My designs have been featured in Baby Years magazine and sold in boutiques and department stores across the country. I also built and ran Snugglepuffs, a children's boutique in Melbourne, Florida.

But what I'm most passionate about is what I do right here. Whether I'm teaching you how to upcycle a thrift store find into something runway-worthy, shopping for you and curating a wardrobe that finally feels like you, or designing a custom piece that no one else in the world will ever wear — I'm in my element when I'm helping a woman walk out the door feeling like the best version of herself.
